Shorter Wait Times in the Office
All patients prefer to wait as little as possible. We have changed the office flow, so wait times are much shorter. To achieve this, patients are now asked to fill out their medical history on our portal prior to scheduling an office visit. For patients who need help with the portal, a visit can be scheduled with one of our medical assistants to complete this task over the telephone prior to the office visit.
What to Expect During Your Appointment
During your visit, a scribe joins Dr. Rosner to take notes and allow him more one-on-one time to speak with you about symptoms, conditions and options for relief. This helps us create better treatment plans to meet your individual health care needs.
What Does a Scribe Do?
The scribe enters info on your medical history, physical information and orders into our electronic health record. Most patients find this system to be beneficial since notes are completed quickly and accurately.
This may include:
- Key symptoms
- How long you have experienced your symptoms
- List of your current medications
- Any family history or prior diagnosis
- Possible treatment options
- Additional questions you may have

Logging in to the Patient Portal
Our goal is to have new patients completely registered into our medical record system through a process of verifying medical insurance, getting basic address information and asking for a valid email address. Doing so helps eliminate wait times before your appointment.
After we reach out and collect this basic information, you will receive an online link sent to the email you provided that allows you to activate your patient portal. This patient portal is where you will enter all your medical information before scheduling an appointment. If you would like additional assistance, we can schedule a phone call with one of our medical assistants to get this information from you.
Activating Your Patient Portal
When you receive your email link, it will say, “Welcome to the Arthur Rosner portal.” It is best to use a computer to complete your patient portal registration. If you choose to use a phone or tablet, please follow the instructions you received via email to download the APPatient app.
To activate your account, click on the link provided to you in the email. Your username will be your full email address. After you verify your information and create a password, please go to the left side of the screen that says “My Health”; there will be a heart image next to it. Here you will complete all the sections for Past Medical History, ENT History, Medications, Allergies, etc.
Filling In Your Info
Please complete each section and then click the “SAVE and Continue” option. If specific subjects do not apply to you, please select “None” and then “SAVE and Continue.” If you have any difficulty, please call our office so we can assist you over the phone.
Once you have completed the activation of your patient portal account, please call our office back at 248-844-2936, so we can verify that all your information has been saved in your medical record and then book your appointment. We can usually get patients in for an appointment within 24 to 48 hours.
If you do not wish to use the Patient Portal, please give us a call to schedule with an MA for setup.
